Markham's is a family business, if not by blood, it is by craft.
Founder and Owner, John's love of this craftsmanship started when he was a child, little did his father know that a table he made would calve the beginning of John's future and love for furniture design.

THE STORY OF MARKHAM'S
We started out specialising in crafting beautiful one-off furniture pieces from reclaimed timber for the commercial & domestic clients. Whilst our passion is creating and designing, it was evolved from a love of creating furniture from the reclaimed raw materials we picked up on our salvage trips. Over the years we have collected and catalogued a vast array of reclaimed items such as Reclaimed Oak Beams, Flooring and Doors & fireplaces, that were available to the trade and public, we do still have a lot of items in our salvage yard, so it's worth paying a trip to our yard if you're looking for reclaimed items.
Every year is incredibly exciting for us here at Markham Reclaimed, the business is always evolving and we look forward to new clients setting us new challenges. We have provided reclaimed wood and timber for two feature films produced here in the UK, James Bond and recently, Beauty & The Beast. We have also assisted in the fitting out of a very high-end luxury goods shop in the west end of London, as well as designing and building furniture for homes, around the UK.
From a love of reclaimed, the business evolved once again. We wanted to still be inspired by the old but create from new instead, making it more affordable and easier to build a catalogue of products for our online shop. Whilst we still offer our bespoke service which does include access to our historical reclaimed timber storage shed or to-measure items from new sustainably sourced materials.

It has been our longterm ambition of the family to get our products online and make them even more accessible for you! We wanted to be able to offer our made-to-order and fully bespoke made-to-measure service at your fingertips. We are now thrilled to offer our shop online. An extensive online range of new Modern Rustic, Contemporary, Industrial and boho, Scandinavian inspired solid timber furniture pieces, available in a multitude of sizes and finishes. What's more; you can now select your tailor to your individual preferences We have 5 wood finish choices and our fabricated steel frames and legs come in 4 different finishes including your own RAL reference*.
We wanted to keep the flexibility for the customer, as if you were in the showroom talking us through your ideas. Now that we have a range of products to buy online, we are sure you'll find something you love and something that fits! If you don't, then we can make it!
Our team is always growing, we now have 5 skill full wood-crafters working with us, all bringing their own designs and skills to the Markham's pot of creativity.
