John tells us his story of how one table made him what he is today.
‘You could say this is where the inspiration came from…Ever since I was a kid this table has been knocking around the house, where ever we moved it came with us, i didn't really know or understand it's history until i was a teenager, and my dad told me where it actually came from...
This charming little table was handcrafted by my dad Malcolm and his Dad, my Grandfather James Niven back in the 1950’s. At the time of my Dad tell me this story, of course I thought nothing of it, little did i know that i'd be then walking in my Dad's footsteps making furniture with him like he did his father, handing down the craft to me. I was hooked, i think from them on, it was just second nature and the only thing I truly love to do.
It's made from recycled Oak and Pine and I now serves as my home office desk, constantly reminding me of where I came from"
